# Terms of Use for BrigadeMate

Effective Date: 20 January 2026

## 1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BrigadeMate, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

## 2. Eligibility
You must meet the minimum age required by applicable law. Age restrictions are 16+.

## 3. Account Registration and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

## 4. Service Description
The app provides tools for project management and collaboration, including tasks, materials, tools, work logs, messaging, and file/photo uploads.
Some features can be limited by service tier (for example, finance, chat, PDF export, and project/data limits). Availability may change based on active plan status.

## 4.1 Service Tiers (Free and Pro)
BrigadeMate currently provides at least two access tiers: **Free** and **Pro**.

Free tier may include product limits, such as:
- maximum owned projects;
- maximum members per project;
- limits for materials, tasks, tools, workers, transactions, and photos per project.

Pro tier includes extended access, such as:
- unlimited projects;
- quotes and PDF export;
- team access and collaboration tools;
- margin/finance tracking and analytics;
- increased seat limits.

Current limits and feature flags may change over time and are enforced by the active entitlement status in the app.

## 4.2 Billing, Renewal, and Cancellation
If you subscribe through Apple App Store or Google Play, billing is processed by the relevant store under its own payment terms.
Store subscriptions are generally auto-renewable unless canceled.
You can manage and cancel store subscriptions in your App Store / Google Play subscription settings.

For web subscriptions, billing may be processed by Paddle or another authorized web payment provider shown at checkout.
Web subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing date.
You can cancel renewal for web subscriptions through the web account/billing area or by contacting support.

## 4.3 Refund Policy for Web Purchases
If you are not satisfied with your web purchase, you may request a refund within 14 days of the initial purchase.
Refund requests can be submitted by contacting support at support@brigademate.com.
Refunds for web purchases are processed through Paddle and may take several business days to appear on your account or payment method.
If you believe you were charged in error, were charged twice, or had a technical issue affecting the purchase, include the purchase email, date, and any available receipt details when contacting support.
Canceling a subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period unless a refund is approved or required by applicable law.
For purchases made through mobile app stores, including Apple App Store or Google Play, refund requests must be submitted directly through the relevant app store.

## 5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant the operator a limited license to store, process, and display it solely to provide the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to any content you upload.

## 6. Content Policy and Acceptable Use
Your use of the service must comply with the Content Policy. The Content Policy defines prohibited content and conduct and is incorporated by reference into these Terms. Violations may result in removal of content or suspension of access.

## 7. Third-Party Services
The service relies on third-party providers such as Google Firebase and Expo for hosting, storage, authentication, and notifications. Their terms and policies may apply.

## 8. Termination
The operator may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service. You may stop using the app at any time.

## 9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

## 10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

## 11. Governing Law
Governing law and jurisdiction are Republic of Moldova, courts of Chisinau.

## 12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. The new version becomes effective on the publication date.
